About Me

Kate Alice Taylor

My name is Kate Alice Taylor, and I am a qualified Group Analyst and Psychotherapist.  I work with both individuals and groups, supporting clients to deepen their understanding of self and build more fulfilling relationships - whether with partners, family (including adolescent children), colleagues, or within wider social networks.

My professional journey has ranged from training in the NHS, working in the corporate and voluntary sector, as well as postgraduate education, and now to private practice - giving me a strong understanding of the challenges people face in different areas of life. I also sit as a Board Director at the Institute of Group Analysis.

Kate is a thoughtful, warm and trustworthy psychotherapist. I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone seeking help in addressing a wide range of emotional issues.

I rate Kate very highly as a therapist. She is is both warm and receptive, as well as being very thoughtful and compassionate in her approach

With a breadth of experience, Kate provides a genuinely warm and compassionate space where clients feel truly heard and supported. Her professionalism and trustworthiness make it easy to open up and navigate life's challenges with confidence.

What I offer:

01.

In our sessions, we work together to explore your feelings, thoughts and actions to gain a greater understanding of yourself, and where you may be stuck. We will uncover and identify patterns of behaviour that may be familiar but unhelpful and find new ways and directions helping you move towards a life that has more meaning and is less of a struggle.

02.

Group therapy offers a unique and powerful experience in today’s increasingly lonely world. It provides a regular, confidential space to find support, challenge yourself, and learn about who you are. Over time, a sense of belonging, connection, and trust develops, allowing members to explore personal issues together. For some, it may be the first time discovering that conflict can be safely expressed and repaired. These insights and skills often extend beyond the group, enriching relationships in everyday life.
